I already have a basic SketchUp (.skp) file of my floor plan, but it still feels rough and schematic. I’d like you to turn it into a clean, architect-level model that looks great in both plan view and full 3D.
The priority is enhanced detail and dimensional accuracy: walls need consistent thickness, doors and windows should sit exactly where they belong, and fixtures must line up with my measurements. Once the geometry is solid, please push it further into a full 3D model with realistic textures—think timber floors, painted walls, tiles, glazing, and any other materials you see fit based on the reference images I’ll provide.
I will hand over:
• the current .skp file
What I need back:
• the cleaned-up .skp, organised with sensible groups, tags, and scenes
• the texture files you apply
• 4-6 high-resolution stills that showcase the main living area, kitchen, bedroom, and an overall bird’s-eye view
Optional (nice to have, not a must): a simple 2D export with basic annotations for quick reference.
Acceptance criteria
1. Walls, openings, and fixtures match supplied dimensions within ±5 mm.
2. Model opens with no missing textures and remains lightweight enough for smooth orbiting.
3. Renders display even lighting and true-to-material colours without visible noise.
Preferred tools: SketchUp 2021 or newer; V-Ray or Enscape for the renders.
Timeline: one week from kickoff should be plenty if you’re comfortable with the workflow.
If this sounds like your kind of detailing and rendering challenge, I’m ready to share the files and get started right away.
