Professional Marketplace Icon Pack Design

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced icon designer to create a premium, modern, and consistent icon system for our marketplace platform.

The icons will be used across our website, mobile applications, marketing materials, and digital products, so the final designs must be production-ready, scalable, and visually consistent.

We already have a defined visual direction and want the designer to follow the same visual language, proportions, perspective, lighting, materials, and overall style across the complete icon set.

Initial Icon Set

The first project includes the following 9 marketplace categories:

1. Property For Rent
2. Property For Sale
3. Off-Plan Properties
4. Rooms for Rent
5. Motors
6. Jobs
7. Classifieds
8. Furniture & Garden
9. Heavy Machinery

Design Style

We are looking for:

* Premium modern 3D appearance
* Clean and minimal design
* Strong visual recognition at small sizes
* Consistent perspective and camera angle
* Consistent lighting and shadows
* Soft, polished 3D materials
* Professional marketplace / technology aesthetic
* Simple but distinctive visual concepts
* Suitable for both light and dark backgrounds
* No unnecessary details or visual clutter
* Consistent dimensions and proportions across all icons

The final icon set should look like one professionally designed family, not nine individually designed illustrations.

Deliverables

For each icon, please provide:

* Editable SVG
* High-resolution PNG
* Transparent-background PNG
* Source/editable design file (Figma, Illustrator, Blender, or equivalent)
* Recommended export sizes for web and mobile
* Vector version where technically appropriate

The SVG files must be properly prepared for production use and should not simply be embedded raster images.

Design System

The selected designer will also need to establish a reusable visual system covering:

* Perspective
* Geometry
* Object proportions
* Lighting direction
* Shadow style
* Material/finish
* Corner radius
* Depth/extrusion
* Background treatment
* Scale and spacing
* Consistent visual weight

This system should allow us to commission additional icons later without breaking the visual consistency of the original set.

Important Requirement

Before producing all 42 icons, the designer should create 1 initial icon as a style sample.

We will review the first icon and provide feedback. Once the visual direction is approved, the remaining 8 icons can be developed using the approved system.

Future Work

This is intended to be the beginning of a much larger icon library.

If the initial project is successful, we expect to commission additional icons covering areas such as:

* Electronics
* Business
* Finance
* Delivery
* UI elements
* Filters
* Features
* Mobile app functions

The long-term goal is to create a large, proprietary marketplace icon library with a single recognisable visual identity.

Ideal Freelancer

Experience designing icons for large marketplaces, classified platforms, e-commerce platforms, fintech products, or mobile applications is a strong advantage.

Important

We will provide the selected freelancer with the existing visual references/style direction before production begins.
