I have a hand-sketched concept for a small wand that lets me scan an animal’s eye. The sketch already shows the overall shape, plus the exact envelope sizes of the onboard camera module and its paired LED.
What I need from you is a clean, manufacturable 3D design that can be printed first in resin (that is the process I will be using for the prototype) and later adapted for mass production. Ergonomics matter: the handle must feel secure in one hand with a comfortable grip contour, yet keep the overall body as slim and streamlined as my sketch indicates.
Please build the model around the camera and LED dimensions I supplied, allowing easy drop-in assembly and cable routing. Make sure the LED window is optically clear and that the sensor sits on axis with the bore to avoid parallax. Any screw bosses, snap tabs or alignment pins you add should follow common DFM practice so that the same geometry can migrate to injection-mold tooling later. Venting, draft angles and wall thicknesses should also be considered.
Deliverables
• One complete, watertight STL of the wand body ready for resin printing
• 2D manufacturing drawings (.dwg and .dxf) with critical dimensions and tolerances called out
• A short, step-by-step PDF explaining print orientation, recommended resin, post-cure time and basic assembly sequence
Acceptance will be based on: printability with Formlabs-style SLA settings, parts fitting the provided camera/LED without modification, and comfortable in-hand feel matching the sketch profile.
If you foresee a better way to split the body into multiple prints or need to add minor ribs or fillets, let me know—I’m open to practical tweaks as long as the external silhouette stays true to the sketch.
