I already have the cabinet’s 3D model sitting in a single .stp file. What I now need is its full evolution into a production-ready design that a fabricator can pick up tomorrow and build without surprises.
Your task begins with opening that STEP file, interrogating every surface, feature, and clearance, and then refining it so the finished cabinet will withstand continuous electronic-equipment duty. Material choices must balance durability with cost-effectiveness; I am counting on you to suggest thicknesses, finishes, and fasteners that hit that sweet spot.
Inside the enclosure, please optimise the converter’s component layout for airflow, serviceability and safe cable routing. Externally, the look still matters: clean lines, well-placed vents and hardware that reinforces an electronics-grade aesthetic are all part of the brief. At the same time, every change has to respect standard manufacturing processes—think sheet-metal bending, laser cutting, tapped inserts, and sensible tolerances—so nothing you add drives up tooling time or rejects.
Because this cabinet will live in an electronics environment, conformity with typical enclosure guidelines (proper grounding points, UL-style creepage and clearance, realistic thermal management provisions) must be evident in the final package.
Deliverables I need from you:
• Updated 3D CAD master file (STEP + native format)
• Full 2D fabrication drawings with dimensions, bend notes and weld symbols
• Exploded assembly with labelled hardware and a concise BOM
• Any supporting documents that prove manufacturability—flat patterns, tolerance stack-ups, or brief FEA snapshots if you use them
I am happy to iterate quickly, so send interim screenshots or questions the moment you see a potential clash. Once these items are signed off, the cabinet will go straight to the shop floor.
