About Dedale:
Dedale is a fast-growing intelligence company. We are the go-to source for investment and strategic intelligence in the B2B technology market. Our product supports private-equity investors, corporate strategy teams and M&A advisors make sense of complex markets: proprietary intelligence on 50,000+ companies across 500+ Tech segments supported by market and deal data, expert perspectives.
Our product is growing fast with more than 1,500 clients already relying on it and an ambitious roadmap to scale fast.

About the role:
As our Product Manager (PO / PM), you will own product delivery across the full scope of the Dedale platform, end-to-end, from discovery to shipped feature. You will join our product and engineering team, report directly to the CPO, and work closely, day to day, with our 30+ data team, our research team, and our external design partner.
You own your product area end-to-end: talk to internal and external users, shape the roadmap with the CPO, write the specs, guide the engineering team and drive delivery to launch. You own outcomes, not hand-offs: you decide what ships, define what “good” looks like, and make sure it lands. High-impact, high-autonomy, with a clear path toward Lead Product Manager and Product Director.
One specificity of product at Dedale: our software is only as strong as the data beneath it. So part of the role is keeping the product and data roadmaps in step and working with our Head of Data and Senior Data Engineer so features and the data they rely on are ready together.Staying curious about new tools and approaches, and bringing that curiosity to the team.

Your first 3 months:
First 2 weeks: get to know the platform, the users and the team, and take the backlog in hand

First month: own the backlog and ship your first releases, at a steady cadence

By month 3: run your product area end-to-end, discovery to launch; owning the roadmap, the quality bar, and the outcomes for your area

Your Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Delivery
Own the roadmap and a well-groomed backlog for the product, set with the CPO and prioritized on user value and impact

Write crisp user stories, specs and acceptance criteria the engineering team can build from

Partner with the engineering team to ensure they have all they require to ship in an agile and pro-active approach

In alignment with the Head of Engineering, make scope and trade-off calls transparently, balancing value, effort and readiness

Discovery & User Value
Talk to users (investors, analysts, research and go-to-market teams) and turn their pain points into problems worth solving

Validate ideas quickly (user interviews, prototypes, data spot-checks) before committing build effort

Brief and partner with our external design agency; frame the problem, review designs in Figma, keep the bar high

Define success metrics and track them post-release in PostHog (adoption, usage, satisfaction)

Quality & Reliability
Own the definition of done and release acceptance: the product works, and the data behind it is correct, before it ships

Hold a high quality bar: catch regressions, triage and prioritize bugs, fix root causes

Monitor releases post-launch (usage, errors, data quality) and close the loop fast

Partner with the engineering team to maintain a buffer for continuous improvement of the product and ensuring an increasing quality day-by-day

Partner with engineering and data on test coverage and release readiness

Keeping Tech & Data in sync our specificity, with the Head of Data and Senior Data Engineer
Co-plan releases so each feature and its data land together: no feature waiting on data, no data with nowhere to go

Keep a shared view of what data (pipelines, enrichment, tagging, taxonomies) must be ready for which feature, and by when

Communication & Stakeholder Management
Keep leadership, go-to-market and research stakeholders aligned on roadmap, progress and trade-offs and be the reliable translator between technical, data and business audiences

What we are looking for:
Must-haves:
3 to 6 years as a Product Owner and/or Product Manager on a software product (ideally B2B SaaS)

Strong agile delivery track record: backlog ownership, clear specs, and a habit of shipping regularly

Solid product and business sense: you run discovery, understand needs and usage, prioritize well, and define and track success metrics

Comfortable with data: you have worked on a product with a real data layer and can hold your own with data engineers on coverage and quality

Fluent English is essential: it is our common working language, and many of the team don’t speak French. French is a plus, not a requirement

Exposure to AI / LLM-powered features, search or retrieval products

Nice-to-haves:
Familiarity with private equity, financial services, market intelligence or data-provider environments

Analytical and hands-on: comfortable checking things yourself in SQL or a BI/analytics tool

Experience with taxonomies, metadata, knowledge bases or content-heavy platforms

Who you are:
You treat a feature as unfinished until it is genuinely done (working, tested, and the data correct) while balancing pace of shipping

You are proactive and curious, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike

What we offer:
High autonomy and direct impact from day one

A collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment at the intersection of data, AI and decision-making

Competitive compensation package

High proximity with all teams at Dedale, benefitting from our startup/horizontal organization

Flexible, remote-friendly working and an international, English-speaking team, based in Paris
