I’m looking for a skilled designer who can create a fully functioning, compound-style crossbow that is 100 % 3D-printable and robust enough for real target shooting. I already sell archery gear and intend to add this model to my commercial product line, so it must stand up to repeated use, be safe, and look professional.
Here’s what I need:
• A complete digital model (STL preferred, STEP for reference) of every printable component, ready for FDM or resin printers with common build volumes.
• Specifications for off-the-shelf hardware—strings, bolts, bearings, fasteners—clearly called out in a simple bill of materials.
• Assembly instructions and exploded views so customers can build it confidently.
• Basic stress or FEA analysis showing the limbs, riser, and trigger can handle draw weight suitable for target shooting without failure.
My priority is functional reliability and user safety. Please keep part count reasonable, ensure no proprietary components are required, and design with manufacturability in mind because this will go into small-batch production. If you have previous experience with archery equipment, kinetic toys, or similar mechanical systems, be sure to mention it when you respond and include samples or screenshots of comparable work. I’m ready to begin as soon as we agree on the scope and timeline.
