I have written a self-help / personal-development workbook that will be printed and sold through my own channels. I now need a designer who can transform the raw manuscript, exercise prompts, and hand-drawn sketches into an attractive, easy-to-follow layout that feels motivating from the very first page.
The final piece must be entirely print-ready, so I’m looking for someone who is comfortable setting up trim, bleed, and margin specifications, choosing accessible typography, and balancing white space with plenty of note-taking room. A keen eye for hierarchy is essential; readers should be able to scan a spread and instantly understand where to start, which reflections to complete, and what actions come next.
An engaging but calming aesthetic suits the theme—think warm neutrals, clean lines, supportive callouts, and subtle iconography. If you enjoy combining instructional clarity with a bit of personality, this is a perfect match. I will supply my completed text in Word along with references for mood, sample illustrations, and an outline of interactive elements (checklists, reflections, progress trackers). We’ll collaborate on a quick style sample before you lay out the entire book.
Deliverables
• Print-ready PDF with crop marks and bleed
• Packaged Adobe InDesign (or equivalent) source files
• Cover and spine artwork sized to my printer’s template
• A short style guide summarising fonts, colours, and graphic treatments
I’m ready to get started as soon as I find the right design partner and would love to see examples of previous workbook or long-form print projects in your portfolio.
