Project Description
Overview:
I have an existing 3D digital model (Blender / STL / OBJ) for a custom geometric bat-style wearable headpiece/hood. I need an experienced 3D CAD engineer or prop mold designer to scale, shell, and split the digital mesh into print-ready mold files for physical rubber/latex fabrication.
Scope of Work:
1. Anatomical Scaling: Import the provided 3D head mesh and scale the internal geometry precisely to match provided custom skull, cheekbone, and neck measurements.
2. Hollow Interior Shelling: Shell out the interior of the geometric features (specifically the faceted nose wedge, eye bezels, and vertical bat ear spires) to a uniform wall thickness of 1.5mm–2.0mm to ensure the physical cast remains lightweight and hollow.
3. Multi-Part Mold Engineering: Split the scaled digital model into clean, watertight two-part or three-part matrix mold sections with alignment pins/keys for physical 3D printing.
4. File Delivery: Export high-resolution, print-ready .STL and .OBJ files optimized for large-format SLA resin 3D printing.
Requirements:
Proven experience in 3D CAD modeling for physical manufacturing, wearable cosplay/prop armor, or casting molds.
Proficiency in ZBrush, Blender, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.
Ability to ensure watertight meshes with zero non-manifold edges.

Tips for Posting This Listing
Skills to Tag: 3D Modeling, 3D CAD, Blender, ZBrush, Product Design, 3D Printing.
Budget Setting: A fixed-price project ($50–$150 USD) works best for a purely digital file prep job of this scope.
Milestone Structure: Set up two equal milestones:
1. Milestone 1: Scaled & shelled 3D mesh preview approval (visual check of head measurements & wall thickness).
2. Milestone 2: Final delivery of split, watertight STL mold files.
