Photo Editor Specialized in Window Masking for Real Estate (Recurring Work)
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented photo editor to create window masks for real estate interior photos. This is a recurring role with a steady volume of images, ideal for professionals seeking a long-term partnership. The primary task involves precisely selecting only the glass area of windows and glass doors within the photos. It is crucial that the mask edges are exact, adhering perfectly to the glass without including frames or excluding any parts of the glass surface. Details regarding mask creation: - INCLUDES: All types of glass, such as blown-out/overexposed (white) glass, frosted glass (in bathrooms or kitchens), glass with reflections, and glass with safety netting. - EXCLUDES: Frames/casings (of any color), windowsills, and any objects positioned in front of the glass (curtains, blinds, furniture, plants, air conditioning units). - IMPORTANT: Mirrors, televisions, shower enclosures, and cabinet glass are NOT considered windows and must be excluded from the masks. Tools and Deliverables: The work can be performed using either Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop: - Photoshop: The deliverable must be a black-and-white PNG file, matching the dimensions and filename of the original photo. White should represent the glass area, while black represents the rest of the image. - Lightroom: The mask must be created directly within the Lightroom catalog, using the "Objects" selection tool and the brush tool. One mask per photo is required, and the edited catalog must be returned. How the workflow is structured: 1. Quality Test: A paid test consisting of 5 photos (including both straightforward and challenging examples) will be conducted to evaluate the quality and precision of your work. 2. Workload: Once you pass the test, batches of 30 to 50 photos will be provided. The initial volume is expected to be between 150 and 300 photos, with the potential for ongoing, recurring work. 3. Payment: You will be paid per approved photo. In your proposal, please include: - Examples of previous cutout or masking work you have completed, ideally involving windows or real estate photography. - The software you use (Lightroom or Photoshop). - Your rate per photo and the estimated turnaround time for each batch of 50 photos.
