“An Evening with the Marquis de Lafayette” is a 22,000-word dialogue-driven historical novel, paired with a 12,000-word appendix, that places the Revolutionary War hero in a modern-day café conversation about liberty, abolition, and the American experiment. Before launch day, I want a clear, actionable strategy that puts the book squarely on the radar of historians and committed history buffs while maximising online visibility across key platforms.

Scope of work
This assignment covers both strategy and ready-to-use assets:

• A concise marketing blueprint (2–3 pages) mapping out the four weeks before release and the first week after, including scheduling, recommended channels (Goodreads, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, specialist history forums, Substack, podcast pitches), and measurable KPIs.
• Ten polished, platform-specific social-media posts (copy + suggested visuals) designed for organic reach and easy scheduling through tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
• Two engaging email newsletters (Mailchimp-friendly HTML or rich-text) that tease content, invite pre-orders, and drive traffic to the book’s landing page.
• One professional press release suitable for distribution via PRWeb or direct journalist outreach, with an embedded media kit link.
• A short list of five to seven relevant historians, bloggers, or podcasters who regularly review historical fiction/biography, with contact details and pitch angles.

Acceptance criteria
1. Messaging must highlight Lafayette’s abolitionist stance and the book’s conversational storytelling style.
2. All copy delivered in a single, well-organised Google Doc plus separate, ready-to-paste text files.
3. Posts and emails formatted for consistent voice and free of grammatical errors; links and hashtags verified.
4. Strategy section includes at least three metrics for tracking visibility (e.g., impressions, click-through rate, pre-order count).

Timeline & collaboration
I’d like the first draft of the blueprint within one week of project start, with finalised assets delivered no later than two weeks after feedback. I’ll supply the manuscript, cover art, and any existing branding immediately upon kickoff.
