I have operational data already sitting in Azure Databricks and I need it surfaced through an interactive Power BI dashboard that is first and foremost about clear, insightful data visualization. The connection to Databricks must be live (DirectQuery or an equally responsive approach) so that the visuals update in near-real time without manual refreshes.
Here is what I expect the finished work to do:
• Connect securely to my existing Databricks workspace, ingesting the relevant tables/views.
• Visualize key operational trends and instantly expose any data issues—gaps, anomalies, or late-arriving records—so the team can act on them right away.
• Provide intuitive filters (date range, plant, line, shift) and drill-through paths that non-technical users can navigate without training.
• Optimise model performance and gateway configuration so the report opens quickly and slices smoothly.
• Deliver the .pbix file plus a short hand-off note that explains the data model, the measures you created, and the steps to repoint the data source if we move clusters.
Acceptance criteria
1. All visuals refresh successfully from Databricks with a single click and no errors.
2. Data-issue flags are visible on a dedicated page and via conditional formatting on the main visuals.
3. DAX measures are documented and consistent with our naming conventions.
4. The file size remains reasonable (
