Post-Repair Sill & Door Inspection

I’ve just had a rotted sill plate on my residential property replaced and now need a thorough post-repair inspection. The priority is the foundation and sill plate area: I want confirmation that the new timber is properly seated, securely anchored, level, and free of lingering moisture or insect issues.

Because the work also adjoins a set of exterior French doors, I’d appreciate your trained eye on their threshold alignment and weather-proofing while you’re on site, though the core assignment remains the sill plate check.

There are no prior damage reports or assessments to reference, so you will be starting with a clean slate. I am expecting a concise written report—photos included—highlighting any defects, code concerns, or maintenance recommendations. Please bring whatever diagnostic tools you normally rely on (moisture meter, level, flashlight, camera, etc.) and be prepared to talk me through your findings on the day.
