I’m building a personal goal-tracking app that motivates users through a straightforward points system. A user will be able to set any number of goals (for example, “Run 100 miles” or “Read 10 books”), assign each a target score, and then create daily or one-off activities that earn small or large point values toward that target. At a glance the user should always know two things: their current total and how close they are to completion.
The look and feel need to be clean, modern, and visually engaging rather than overly minimalist or playful. I’m leaning toward subtle animations and clear progress visuals—think progress rings, color-coded bars, or simple line charts—to keep the experience motivating without clutter.
Authentication will be handled through a classic email-and-password flow; no social or SSO integrations are required right now. The finished product must run smoothly on both iOS and Android, so I’m open to either a robust cross-platform framework (Flutter, React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform) or two well-maintained native codebases if that’s your preference.
We’ll dive deeper into screens, user flows, and any backend choices once we start, but the core deliverable for this engagement is a polished, production-ready version 1.0 with:
• Goal creation and editing
• Activity creation with custom point values
• Real-time score calculation and progress display
• Email-based account creation, login, and password reset
• A modern UI that passes App Store and Play Store review
If this aligns with your skill set and you have examples of similar work, let’s talk details and roadmap the milestones together.
