I have a 145-page poetry manuscript with photographs that now needs to look and feel like a real book. Your task is to transform my Word file into press-ready layouts for every format we plan to sell:
• Amazon KDP – paperback, hardback and Kindle.
• Lulu – a glossy, landscape-oriented photobook version that highlights the images.
I will supply the final edited Word document and high-resolution photos. From you I need:
1. Interior typesetting that respects line breaks, stanza spacing and image placement, producing PDFs for KDP (5.5×8.5" trim) and Lulu (landscape 9×7" photobook), plus an EPUB for Kindle.
2. A front-to-back cover suite. Please give me at least three concepts to choose from—one minimalistic, one classic and a third of your own inspiration. Each must feature the title, author’s name and an illustration or photo. I’m drawn to cool tones—blues, greens and purples - but I’m open to subtle variations if it enhances the poetry.
3. Final layered source files (InDesign or Affinity Publisher) alongside print-ready PDFs and a flattened JPEG for the ebook thumbnail.
4. Up to two revision rounds on both layout and cover so we can polish every detail inside our 7–10-day window.
We’ll work collaboratively: I review proofs daily; you adjust; we hit “approve” together. Experience with KDP and Lulu specs is essential so we avoid bleed, margin or EPUB validation issues. If you enjoy colour harmony, meticulous typography and patient communication, we’ll be a great fit. I’m ready to start as soon as you are and will respond quickly to keep momentum high.
