PlayDuo Live App Upgrade

I run PlayDuo, a live-streaming platform where singers perform in real time. I’m ready to take the app to the next level by tightening the social layer and adding monetisation for private performances.

Scope
• Build or refine user profile screens so each singer can showcase bio, social links, and upcoming slots.
• Add stable, low-latency chat that lets viewers talk with performers during a public show and seamlessly continues in private sessions.
• Integrate a secure payment flow that lets fans pay singers for one-on-one or group private live sessions (this is the only payment option needed for now). Handle booking, confirmation, and payout tracking inside the app.

Tech goals
• Keep existing live video streaming intact (built for live stream singing).
• Use mobile-friendly technologies such as WebRTC, RTMP, or any approach that meshes with the current codebase.
• Payment gateway can be Stripe, PayPal, or another widely supported SDK—whichever plugs in fastest while meeting compliance.
• Clean, well-commented code and brief setup notes so my in-house team can maintain it.

Success criteria
1. New profile and chat features function smoothly on both iOS and Android.
2. Payment flow processes real transactions in a sandbox and switches to production with one configuration change.
3. No regression in existing public live-stream performance (sub-second latency maintained).
