I run https://www.newsvenus.com/index.php and a handful of glitches are hurting the user experience. The core platform is plain-vanilla PHP with a sprinkle of MySQL, so I need a developer who feels at home debugging legacy procedural code as well as the occasional modern class.

The job is strictly about fixing existing issues—no redesigns, no new features for now. I will point you to the errors I already know about once we start, but I also expect you to poke around, reproduce the problems, and suggest anything else you notice that could break the flow of reading an article or navigating between pages.

Deliverables
• Clean, well-commented PHP patches or replacement files
• Brief change log noting each problem, its cause, and how you fixed it
• Confirmation that all pages load without warnings or fatal errors after the update

Once the fixes are live and tested, the project is done. If everything goes smoothly, there’s plenty more work in the pipeline, but first let’s get the site running flawlessly again.
