Photoshop Fish Overexposure Correction

I have a single, high-resolution shot of a fish where the front half—especially the head—came out harshly overexposed. I need that overblown area brought back in line with the rest of the body, so the color, texture, and detail match the untouched rear half as closely as possible.

Every existing feature—scales, spots, subtle markings—must stay intact, yet any faint details currently washed out by the glare should become visible again. No AI filters, plugins, or one-click tricks; I want a manual, layer-based repair in Adobe Photoshop so the final result looks indistinguishable from an originally well-exposed photo.

Please work directly on the entire front half (head and adjoining body), leave the rest of the image completely untouched, and keep global contrast, saturation, and background exactly as they are.

Deliverables:
• Layered PSD showing your adjustment layers and masks
• Flattened, full-resolution JPEG ready for print/web

Previews before awarding project are a must unless you have some reason why that cant be done.
