PhD Area-Studies Research Advisor

I’m in the final stages of shaping a PhD that examines energy relations between China and the Middle East—an area-studies project that sits within the social sciences. I now need an experienced academic partner who can guide me through the full research cycle while strengthening both the substance and the language of my work.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

• Strategic advice on framing a rigorous literature review that captures the latest scholarship on Sino–Middle East energy cooperation.
• Hands-on support refining my research design, selecting appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods, and clarifying data-collection protocols.
• Ongoing coaching as I analyse findings, ensuring interpretations are theoretically sound and well-argued.
• Dual-track writing and editing assistance—help me draft new sections where gaps appear, then polish every chapter to publishable, journal-ready quality (APA style).

I work in MS Word and NVivo but am open to your preferred tools for collaborative annotation, version control, or statistical work (e.g., R, Stata). We can schedule regular video check-ins and use shared folders for document exchange.
