PG Rent & Expense Tracker

I need a simple, reliable system that helps me record and monitor every rupee coming in and going out of my paying-guest accommodation. The focus is squarely on finances—monthly rent, each tenant’s due date, and real-time payment status—so I can see at a glance who has paid, who is overdue, and what income I should expect for the month.

Core features I’m looking for:
• A dashboard summarising monthly rent collected, pending amounts, and overdue cases
• Individual tenant profiles storing rent amounts, due dates, and payment history
• Quick entry screens for adding or editing payments (cash, UPI, bank transfer, etc.)
• Exportable reports (CSV/PDF) that I can hand straight to my accountant

Nice-to-haves such as utilities or maintenance tracking could be phased in later, but they are not essential for this first release.

If you’ve built anything similar, please include links or screenshots of your past work when you reply; seeing real interfaces helps me decide quickly. Clean code (Laravel, Django, Node, or any modern stack you’re comfortable with) and a straightforward database schema are more important to me than flashy design for version 1. I will test the finished system against a small set of dummy tenants and verify that all three key fields—monthly rent, due date, payment status—flow correctly from entry to report.

Once we agree on scope, I’ll break the work into milestones so you get paid as you deliver each functional block.
