I am preparing the Preliminary Site Investigation for the PFAS study at RAAF Base Williamtown and need a concise set of six high-quality maps delivered as press-ready PDFs:
• Locality map – show the base in its wider context with the “Well” level of detail I specified.
• Site layout & features – focus on water-management infrastructure (drains, retention basins, outfalls, etc.).
• Source-area map – highlight known PFAS source zones.
• Monitoring-well map – plot every existing well; I will supply coordinates, screen depths and construction details.
• PFAS concentration map – use the latest laboratory data I provide to create clear graduated-colour contours or proportional symbols (whichever communicates the results best).
• Topographic & drainage context – depict surface elevations, flow directions and key catchments.
Please build everything in a modern GIS environment such as QGIS so the symbology and scale remain consistent across all outputs. I will supply:
– Cleaned well and contour spreadsheets (CSV)
– Base aerial imagery and CAD layers (DWG)
– Past investigation shapefiles for reference
Acceptance criteria
1. Each map exported as an A3-size PDF (vector layers preserved).
2. All coordinate systems clearly noted.
3. Legible legend, north arrow, scale bar and title block included.
4. Colour scheme suitable for both screen and print.
5. A brief methods note listing data sources and GIS processes used.
If you can turn this around quickly while maintaining cartographic quality, let’s get started—I’m ready to send the data immediately.
All details are in video
I got my due date on 30 october
