I am looking for an experienced executive presentation designer to take an existing strategy presentation and turn it into a polished, Director and executive-ready deck.
The presentation focuses on AI, energy operations and the development of a future renewable energy grid. The core strategy, analysis, use cases, roadmap, operating model and business-case thinking have already been developed.
This is not a simple PowerPoint formatting or slide clean-up job.
I need someone who can understand complex business and technical content, identify the core message of each slide, and translate it into clear, compelling executive visuals. This may involve redesigning existing slides, building new infographics, simplifying dense content, improving story flow, and recommending structural changes where the current presentation is not communicating effectively.
The final deck needs to work for both senior Directors and operational / technical stakeholders.
Scope of work
You will:
Redesign an existing PowerPoint presentation into a polished executive strategy deck
Build custom infographics, process flows, roadmaps, matrices, operating-model visuals and business-case graphics
Convert text-heavy slides and tables into intuitive visual stories
Improve information hierarchy so the key message of each slide is clear within seconds
Retain enough detail for technical and operational stakeholders
Review the deck slide by slide and recommend where content should be shortened, combined, moved to appendix or redesigned
Develop new visual concepts where the existing layout does not work
Improve the overall storyline and consistency across the presentation
Improve typography, spacing, alignment, icons, diagrams and visual hierarchy
Maintain the underlying strategic intent and factual content
Work directly in editable Microsoft PowerPoint
Keep diagrams, charts and infographics editable wherever practical
Design style
The presentation should feel like a top-tier strategy consulting executive deck, while remaining grounded in an industrial, energy and operational environment.
Think:
BCG / McKinsey-quality information design + strong energy and operations credibility + clean executive storytelling
The style should be:
Clean • modern • restrained • highly visual • commercially credible • easy to scan
The existing colour palette uses:
deep navy
bright green
white
light grey
limited amber for dependencies or decisions
Green should be used selectively to highlight priorities, value, AI-enabled elements and progression.
I do not want:
generic AI imagery
robots
glowing brains
futuristic technology stock images
template-heavy presentation design
decorative visuals that do not improve understanding
Types of slides
The presentation includes concepts such as:
Renewable energy grid lifecycle and operating model
AI opportunity landscape
Operational value leakage
Value vs readiness prioritisation matrix
AI product validation charters
Operating decision intelligence
Operational readiness and master-data assurance
Human-in-the-loop decision models
Decision evidence and learning loops
Reusable reference operating model
Now / Next / Later roadmap
Long-term AI capability roadmap
Business-case and value hypothesis
Investment and stage-gate frameworks
You should be comfortable turning these kinds of topics into strong executive infographics and decision visuals, rather than simply placing the content into boxes.
What I am looking for
The strategy and core content already exist.
I need someone who can challenge how the content is presented.
For example:
If a slide is too dense, propose a better structure
If three concepts should become one infographic, redesign them
If detail belongs in the appendix, recommend moving it
If a roadmap would be more effective as a new visual, redesign it
If a message is unclear because of the slide structure, suggest a better way to communicate it
You therefore need both presentation design judgement and business storytelling capability.
Ideal experience
Strong candidates will have experience producing presentations for:
Executive or Board audiences
Strategy consulting
Energy and utilities
Mining or industrial operations
Infrastructure
Engineering
Technology transformation
AI strategy or digital transformation
Experience translating complex technical and operational material into executive-level visuals is particularly valuable.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint capability is essential.
Deliverables
The final deliverables should include:
Fully editable PowerPoint presentation
Consistent visual design system
Custom editable diagrams and infographics
Polished main presentation and appendix
Consistent formatting and slide hierarchy
Final quality check for readability, alignment and presentation-size legibility
Expected size is approximately 20 to 30 slides, with some requiring light refinement and others requiring substantial redesign.
When applying
Please provide 3 to 5 examples of executive presentations that you personally designed.
Examples involving any of the following are preferred:
Strategy • energy • infrastructure • operations • engineering • technology • transformation
Before-and-after examples are especially useful.
Please also answer:
How would you approach a slide that contains strong analysis and content but is currently too dense for a Director audience?
Please do not apply with a portfolio consisting primarily of generic PowerPoint templates.
I am looking for someone with genuine executive information design, visual storytelling and presentation judgement, not simply PowerPoint formatting skills.
Suggested job title
