1. About the Brand
I am looking for a designer to create the complete visual identity for my personal brand, Silvana G. Bonini.
I am a professional pastry artist with an international background and experience in modern pastry, professional pastry labs and pastry entrepreneurship.
My personal brand will combine:
Modern pastry
Professional knowledge and techniques
Education
Creativity
Personal growth and inspiration
My experience as a pastry chef and entrepreneur
Future online courses, workshops and consulting
The goal is to build a premium, international and recognizable personal brand that can grow with me over time.
I do NOT want the brand to feel like a generic pastry business, a traditional bakery, or an influencer brand.
I want it to feel like a professional pastry chef + modern education + sophisticated lifestyle brand.
2. Brand Personality
The brand should communicate:
Elegant
Modern
Sophisticated
Minimalist
Professional
Feminine, but not overly feminine
Warm
Authentic
Intelligent
Refined
International
Creative
Premium
The brand should feel European-inspired, contemporary and timeless.
I want the premium feeling to come from simplicity, typography, photography, composition and attention to detail, rather than excessive decorative elements.
Please avoid:
Generic luxury branding
Black + gold as the main combination
Very bright or saturated colors
Excessive pink
Childish/cute pastry aesthetics
Hearts or overly romantic elements
Excessive decorative details
Heavy gradients
Very complicated logos
Decorative/script fonts
A typical bakery/cake-shop aesthetic
3. Brand Name
The main brand name is:
Silvana G. Bonini - Pastry Artist
The name should be the main focus of the identity.
I would like the typography to feel editorial, elegant and contemporary rather than overly decorative.
4. Main Symbol / Concept
I already have a conceptual direction that I would like the designer to explore:
A MINIMALIST DRAGONFLY
The dragonfly is important because it represents:
Transformation
Growth
Evolution
Lightness
Delicacy
Personal journey
Change
It connects with my personal story and the evolution of my career.
However, I do not want a literal, detailed or overly decorative dragonfly.
I would like to explore a very elegant, minimal line-art interpretation that could potentially become an identifiable symbol of the brand.
I am also open to exploring a very subtle connection between the dragonfly and pastry, for example through shape, geometry or negative space.
The pastry reference should be subtle and sophisticated — not an obvious cupcake, whisk, rolling pin, chef hat, etc.
The dragonfly should be able to work independently as a recognizable symbol.
5. Logo System
I am NOT looking for just one logo.
I would like a complete logo system including, where appropriate:
Primary logo
Secondary logo
Wordmark
Dragonfly symbol / icon
Horizontal version
Stacked version
Simplified version for small sizes
Monochrome versions
Light/dark versions
Icon/favicon version
The logo should work beautifully both digitally and in print.
It should remain recognizable when used very small, for example:
Instagram profile image
Website favicon
Social media watermark
Recipe Library icon
Packaging
Chef jacket embroidery
Labels/stickers
Business cards
6. Color Palette
The direction I have in mind is a soft, sophisticated and neutral palette.
Possible colors include:
Muted lilac
Soft lavender
Warm cream / ivory
Nude / beige
Soft champagne
Subtle warm gold
Taupe / warm dark brown
I do NOT want:
Bright purple
Strong pink
Yellow/golden metallic overload
Black + gold as the dominant look
Too many pastel colors
The palette should feel soft, refined and premium, while still having enough contrast for a strong visual identity.
I would like the final brand guidelines to include the exact color codes (HEX, RGB, CMYK and, where relevant, Pantone or closest equivalent).
7. Typography
Typography is very important to me.
I imagine a combination of:
Primary typeface:
An elegant editorial serif for:
Logo
Main headings
Recipe titles
Important statements
Secondary typeface:
A clean, modern sans-serif for:
Body text
Ingredients
Instructions
Navigation
Buttons
Educational content
I do NOT want decorative/script fonts.
The typography should feel:
Editorial + modern + elegant + highly readable.
Please recommend fonts that are suitable for both digital and print use and provide information regarding licensing.
8. Graphic Language
Beyond the logo, I want a recognizable visual language for the brand.
Possible elements could include:
Minimal dragonfly linework
Elegant lines
Subtle frames
Delicate separators
Simple geometric elements inspired by pastry
Minimal icons
Subtle patterns or textures if appropriate
These elements should be very restrained.
The goal is to create a visual system that is recognizable without needing to place the logo everywhere.
9. Social Media Applications
I want the identity to work consistently across social media, especially Instagram and YouTube.
I would like the designer to consider the visual system for:
Instagram profile image
Post covers
Reel covers
Carousel covers
Recipe posts
Educational posts
Personal/inspirational posts
Quotes
Announcements
Course launches
Recipe/product launches
Highlight covers
YouTube profile image
YouTube banner
I want the social media identity to be cohesive but not repetitive.
Photography should remain an important part of the feed, rather than having every post look like a graphic template.
10. Website Applications
The branding needs to translate beautifully into a sophisticated, editorial-style website.
Please consider applications such as:
Website header
Navigation
Hero / cover section
About section
Pastry Library section
Educational/course pages
Buttons
Icons
Favicon
Newsletter elements
Footer
Digital cards/components
The website should feel:
Premium + modern + editorial + clean + sophisticated.
12. Pastry Library & Future Education
The brand will also be used for a premium online pastry resource within my website.
At this stage, I do not need the branding to be specifically designed around the library. It simply needs to be flexible enough to support it.
The same identity should also work for future:
Online pastry courses
Masterclasses
Workshops
Educational products
Consulting
Other pastry-related projects
The important thing is that the personal brand remains the main umbrella brand, so I can expand into different projects without needing to redesign the identity.
13. Print & Physical Applications
I would like to see how the identity could work on:
Business cards
Recipe cards
Thank-you cards
Stickers
Labels
Packaging
Chef jackets
Workshop materials
Certificates
Printed educational materials
Future books or publications
The identity should work equally well in digital and physical applications.
14. Brand Guidelines
I would like a professional brand guideline document explaining how to use the identity.
15. Deliverables
Please include the following in your proposal the editable documents.
I am not looking for a logo designer only.
I am looking for a brand identity designer who can build a complete visual system around an existing concept.
The dragonfly is a starting concept, but I want you to bring your professional design expertise to develop it into something sophisticated, original and memorable.
I am open to your creative interpretation of:
The dragonfly
Typography
Color balance
Graphic elements
Logo construction
Overall visual system
I want the final result to feel unique to Silvana G. Bonini, not like a pre-made luxury/pastry template.
Please send:
Examples of complete brand identity projects, not only logos.
Examples of branding for personal brands, food, hospitality, luxury, fashion, lifestyle or education if available.
Your proposed process and timeline.
What is included in your package.
Number of initial concepts and revision rounds.
Whether you provide all editable/source files.
Whether fonts are included/licensed or need to be purchased separately.
Your total price.
I would especially like to see examples where you created a complete visual system, including logo, typography, color palette, graphic language, social media and website applications.
Overall Creative Direction
If I had to summarize the desired aesthetic in a few words:
Modern European pastry atelier × editorial fashion/lifestyle brand × premium culinary education.
The identity should feel:
Elegant. Minimal. Sophisticated. Warm. Intelligent. Feminine but not overly feminine. International. Timeless.
Most importantly, I want people to eventually recognize the visual language and think:
“This is Silvana G. Bonini.”
