I’m starting from a blank slate and need a complete, permit-ready plan set for a modern living room that will be part of a new-build home. I don’t have any existing drawings, so the first step is to create a precise digital floor plan and 3D SketchUp model that capture the room’s footprint, ceiling height, window and door placements, and any structural elements that must be shown for code review.

Once the space is laid out, I’ll need the full design detailed in a clean, contemporary style—think streamlined lines, neutral palettes, and efficient use of space that stays true to modern design principles. All drawings must be ready for my local building department submission, which means proper dimensioning, legends, material callouts, and notes that reference relevant codes (I’ll supply local code snippets once we begin).

Deliverables
• Scaled floor plan in SketchUp and PDF
• 3D SketchUp model with scene views (plan, elevations, perspectives)
• Dimensioned elevations and at least one section cut showing ceiling detail
• Materials and finishes legend aligned with modern aesthetic
• Exported DWG or DXF files for my contractor’s CAD workflow

Acceptance criteria: files open without error in the latest SketchUp release, dimensions match agreed room size within 1 cm tolerance, and the plan set passes my initial pre-submission checklist for permitting.

If you regularly prepare permit documents in SketchUp and can turn around clear, code-compliant drawings, let’s set up a quick call to confirm measurements and timeline.
