Texas PE Needed to Oversee and Seal Driveway Culvert Drainage Calculations (Montgomery County, TX)
I'm building a custom home in Montgomery County, Texas, and the county requires PE-sealed drainage calculations to permit a driveway culvert crossing a drainage easement. The drainage area is under 10 acres and is mostly undeveloped woods.
I already have a drainage analyst working with me who will prepare the calculations. These will follow the Montgomery County Drainage Criteria Manual, including its rainfall and runoff assumptions and one of its accepted non-proprietary software packages. The analyst will use a recent USGS LiDAR DEM and my CAD site plan showing the crossing location.
I'm looking for a Texas-licensed PE to be in responsible charge of this work. That means:
- Approving the method and key assumptions before the calculations begin
- Reviewing and directing the analysis as it progresses, and requesting changes where needed
- Sealing the final drainage calculation report for submission to the county
- Answering county engineer comments if any come back
Requirements:
- Active Texas PE license and TBPELS firm registration
- Drainage or hydrology experience
- Familiarity with Montgomery County or Houston-area drainage criteria is a plus
Please include your PE license number, your fee for this oversight and sealing role, and your expected turnaround.
