I have a set of PDF-based forms and I only care about the images that sit inside them. Your job is to pull every embedded graphic out of each file, save it as a clean PNG, and crop away any surrounding white space or form borders so the result is the exact visual element seen on the page.
You may automate the task with Python (PyPDF2, pdf2image, pdftoppm), Adobe Acrobat scripts, or any other reliable toolchain—as long as the images arrive loss-less and properly cropped. No resizing or format changes beyond PNG are needed.
Please return:
• A folder structure that mirrors the original PDFs, containing the cropped PNGs named logically (e.g., formname_page#_img#).
• A brief note or script detailing how you performed the extraction so I can reproduce it later if required.
That’s the full scope; once the images are extracted and cropped, the project is complete.
