Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced PCB Design Mentor to deliver online, hands-on training in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of PCB design workflows, EAGLE software, schematic design, PCB layout, routing, design validation, and fabrication processes.
The mentor will be responsible for guiding learners through theoretical concepts, practical exercises, and PCB design projects to help them develop industry-relevant skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver interactive training sessions on PCB design fundamentals, components, design tools, and industry standards.
Explain PCB layers, board types, vias, substrates, electronic components, package types, and IPC standards.
Demonstrate project environment setup and grid configuration using EAGLE software.
Guide learners in creating component symbols and footprints and developing custom libraries using SnapEDA and EAGLE.
Facilitate hands-on schematic creation, wire connections, Electrical Rule Check (ERC), and schematic-to-board conversion.
Train learners in PCB layout design, component placement, track width calculation, manual routing, and label arrangement.
Demonstrate single-layer and double-layer PCB design, polygon creation, ground planes, SMD component selection, and via placement.
Guide learners through Design Rule Check (DRC), Gerber file generation, Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, and 3D PCB visualization.
Explain Design for Manufacturing (DFM), thermal management, and PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Conduct revision sessions and summative assessments to evaluate learner understanding and practical proficiency.
Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot design issues, and support learners during hands-on exercises.
