This is a remote position.
An established global software company in the fleet management and telematics space is seeking a seasoned Part-time Senior Bookkeeper to take over and manage their financial operations across a multi-entity structure (5 entities). Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a fully remote, independent contracting role offering high autonomy, competitive rates, and a flexible working schedule of approximately 10 to 15 hours per week (on an initial 6-month independent contract with the potential to extend).Note: Initial onboarding will require a short burst of increased capacity (e.g., equivalent to one full-time week split over 1-2 weeks) to facilitate a smooth handover with the CEO.Responsibilities:
Multi-Entity Bookkeeping: Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting functions for 5 group entities.
Daily Cash & Bank Monitoring: Perform routine bank account checks twice daily to capture incoming client payments, maintaining strictly up-to-date account records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoicing, follow up on outstanding payments, and handle supplier bill processing.
Intercompany Reconciliations: Perform month-end reconciliations, intercompany transfers, and balance sheet maintenance across entities.
Financial Reporting & Handover: Maintain accurate ledger entries and assist the CEO with financial reporting and cash flow tracking.
Requirements
5+ Years Senior Bookkeeping Experience (Non-Negotiable): Extensive experience managing full-function bookkeeping across multi-entity or international business structures.
System Agnostic & Adaptable: Proven capability to easily pick up accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage)—we value overall system adaptability over specific software loyalty.
Zero-Training Mandate: You must be highly experienced and ready to hit the ground running; none of these accounting tasks should be new to you.
High Reliability & Structure: Ability to maintain daily consistency (checking bank feeds twice daily) while working fully autonomously.
Equipment: Must have your own laptop, high-speed internet, and a reliable load-shedding/backup power setup.
