I have a list of part numbers and need an automated way to pull their drawings directly from a public manufacturer website. For every part number the script must:
• Locate and download the 2D drawing and the 3D model available on the product page.
• Save the 2D drawing as a clean PDF and the 3D model in its native CAD format (whatever the site provides—STEP, IGES, etc.).
• Store each pair of files in an organised folder structure that mirrors the part-number list so I can locate anything quickly later.
The scraper should run headlessly, cope with pagination or login-free search boxes, and pause intelligently so it is not blocked. Please include basic error handling to skip parts that have no drawings and log them in a report.
Deliverables
1. Well-commented source code (Python preferred, but I’m open).
2. A brief README explaining setup, required libraries, and how to point the script at a fresh CSV of part numbers.
3. Output sample showing at least three downloaded parts with correct file formats.
