Medieval torch prop (~30–45 cm, handheld) for outdoor play. Working FDM-printable CAD draft exists in Fusion 360, but all dimensions are adjustable around your component choices. Concept already validated with basic parts; we now want production-grade design.
Electronics scope:
- Compact circuit: 1+ LEDs/small bulb with realistic flame flicker (not static blink)
- On/off switch, user-replaceable AA/AAA battery compartment (no soldered cells)
- Minimum 14–20 h runtime per battery set, justified with power calculations
- Full off-the-shelf parts selection (part numbers + purchase links)
CAD scope:
- Rework enclosure in CAD (we used Fusion 360, but could be another CAD software) around your components (battery door, switch mount, wire routing)
- Weather-resistant and durable for repeated outdoor handling
- FDM-printable geometry with editable parametric history (f3d + STEP + STL)
- Fit iterations based on our test prints
To apply, answer briefly:
- Your flicker approach (analog, flicker LED, or MCU) and why?
- Proposed battery type + runtime math?
- One past project combining electronics + 3D-printed enclosures?
- Which CAD software, and can you deliver parametric history?
- Begin your reply with "Grimoire" so we know you read this.
