Original Character Portraits for Three Book Covers (No AI Work Accepted)
Project Description:
I am seeking a skilled illustrator or graphic designer to create three original character portraits for my fiction book series. These portraits will replace the existing AI‑generated images currently shown on the covers. The cover layouts themselves should remain almost entirely unchanged — the commission focuses on replacing the central character images only.
The reference images provided are AI concepts meant to show mood, costume, and general direction. I do not accept AI‑generated or AI‑refined artwork in the final deliverables. I can produce AI work myself; I am hiring specifically for human artistic interpretation and craftsmanship.
What I Need
- Three fully original, artist‑created portraits, one for each book cover.
- Each portrait must be a single, detailed facial rendition of the character, based on your artistic interpretation — not a direct copy of the AI concept.
- The new portraits must integrate smoothly into the existing cover design without altering the layout, typography, or decorative elements.
- The artwork should reflect the tone, atmosphere, and emotional depth of the story.

Only hand‑drawn or digitally painted original artwork.

Artist Verification Requirement (Mandatory)
Before awarding the project, I require:
- One sample facial sketch or partial/unfinished facial stud* of any character from the provided covers.
This is to confirm your illustration style and ensure the work is genuinely hand‑created.
AI‑generated samples will be rejected immediately.
