Optimize Import Logistics & Inventory

I’m looking for a seasoned trade-operations professional to tighten up our import workflow between European and Asian suppliers. The focus is firmly on logistics management, with inventory control as the critical success factor.

What I need you to do
• Audit our current end-to-end import processes, from supplier booking through warehouse receipt.
• Spot inventory-related bottlenecks and imbalances, then redesign reorder points, safety-stock levels, and transit-time buffers.
• Align shipment schedules with warehouse capacity and sales forecasts to eliminate stock-outs and overstock.
• Draft clear SOPs covering vendor hand-offs, freight-forwarder communication, and exception handling.
• Recommend or configure practical tools or dashboards (SAP, Oracle, WMS, or similar) so our team can monitor in-transit stock and landed cost in real time.
• Present a phased implementation roadmap that we can roll out over the next quarter.
