About the Role:
Snapscale is seeking a qualified Ophthalmologist to provide remote clinical support for a U.S.-based healthcare practice. The role will primarily involve reviewing patient medical charts and clinical records, evaluating relevant ophthalmic information, and providing clinical input based on established protocols.
The ideal candidate is a licensed ophthalmologist with strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and experience working with ophthalmic medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
Review patient medical charts and ophthalmology records for completeness and accuracy
Evaluate relevant diagnoses, treatment history, medications, test results, imaging, and other clinical information
Identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information that may require follow-up
Provide appropriate clinical input based on the information available in the patient's medical record
Ensure medical documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with clinic standards
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams regarding chart-related concerns
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations

Requirements
Must be a licensed Ophthalmologist or Optometrist
Valid and active professional license appropriate for the required scope of practice
Previous experience working in an Ophthalmology practice or healthcare setting
Experience reviewing medical charts, clinical records, or ophthalmic documentation
Strong knowledge of ophthalmic conditions, treatments, medications, and diagnostic findings
Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements
