Onsite Cisco Network Support Needed -- 3

You will act as my hands on the ground during a planned network cut-over. On the agreed date and time you’ll check in with the local site contact, walk the rack room, and visually confirm that power, cabling, and environmental conditions are in order. The scope covers routers, switches, and a firewall stack; exact Cisco models may be confirmed closer to go-live, so I need someone comfortable working with any current IOS-based hardware.

While onsite you’ll:

• Inspect existing rack infrastructure, photograph the layout, and flag anything that could interfere with the install.
• Mount and secure new gear as directed, including rails, cage nuts, and cable management.
• Console into each device, run basic health commands, and relay output to our remote engineering team who will push the configurations.
• Patch and label copper or fiber links exactly as called out on the cabling schedule.
• Perform simple ping, CDP/LLDP, and interface-status checks to prove connectivity for UAT.
• Stay available through user-acceptance testing until the remote team gives the all-clear, obtain their sign-off, and only then leave the site.

Deliverables I expect before departure
1. Clear, well-lit photos of the installed equipment and cabling.
2. A brief completion report summarising actions taken, test results, and any anomalies.

Tools you must bring: laptop with working console cable/USB adapter, basic hand tools for mounting, and a label printer or tape for port tags.

Success will be judged on clean installation, zero cabling errors, and remote team sign-off without rework. If this sounds routine to you, let’s lock in the date.
