only need personal statement: Experienced Respiratory Ward Nurse band 5 Seeking Opportunities to become band 6

I am a qualified nurse working in acute respiratory ward for last one year and 8 Months. I have obtained my nursing degree as an apprentice with Nottingham Trent University and Sherwood Forest Trust in 2024.
Through my nursing career as qualified nurse and apprentice I have obtained valuable experience in delivering safe and dignify care independently and working with multiciplinary team.
At my current role as nurse when I am not in charge, I manage and care for 9 patients that are diagnosed with many respiratory diseases such pleural effusion, pneumothorax with chest drain such as Under water seal, Topaz and IPC. COPD, asthma, empyema patients with NIV, and patients with respiratory trauma and cancer with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, tracheostomy, laryngectomy and nasal tube.

Further I frequently take charge where i coordinate and manage team of nurses, Healthcare Support workers and student nurses. Plus I work with doctors, physio, occupational therapist, single point of access and other muliciplinary team and patient and families to deliver a respectful and safe care.

To develop my skills as leader i have completed Edward Jenner leadership programme and currently studying my band 6 training course. Also I am starting a new course this October with Hallam University on how to manage acute unwell patients. Moreover, I have completed my training in venepunctures, cannulation, ECG, Chest drain, CALM and other mandatory training.

Through my career i have overcome many challenges. When i arrived in the UK 2009 i could not speak a word of English and lived in Foster care for 4 years. When i finished college i could not get student loan due to my immigration status to study nursing but i did not give off on my ambition. i have applied for many apprentice programme till i got accepted at Nottingham Trent University and obtained my nursing degree with 2:1.
