I need a web-based billing solution tailored for my sweet shop so that every invoice is generated automatically without manual effort. The system must live entirely online—no desktop installs—so I can log in from any browser, add new products or customers, and watch invoices issue themselves.
The single most important capability is automated invoicing. Two flavours of automation are mandatory for my workflow:
• Scheduled invoicing for standing orders (for example, the cafés that take a mixed-laddu box every Friday).
• Instant invoicing triggered the moment a sale is recorded in the sales screen or through a simple API endpoint.
Everything else should revolve around those rules. I’d like a clean dashboard where I can:
• Review, edit, resend, or void any invoice.
• Export invoices as PDF and email them with one click.
• Search by customer name, date range, or product.
Payment-gateway integration isn’t required today, but please keep the code modular so I can plug Stripe or Razorpay in later. Feel free to build with the stack you know best—Laravel, Django, Node, or similar—as long as it is easy for me to deploy on a modest cloud instance and comes with clear setup documentation.
Deliverables at hand-off:
1. Source code in a private Git repo.
2. SQL (or migration files) for the database schema.
3. A brief README that shows installation, initial configuration, and how to adjust the scheduling intervals.
If something is unclear, tell me early so we can keep the build tight and sweet—just like the shop.
