I’m expanding a set of production-grade backend services and need a seasoned JavaScript developer who can drop straight into an active code-base and keep it moving forward.
What you’ll actually do
You’ll own new and existing REST endpoints built in Node.js (we lean on Express and NestJS), write clear SQL for PostgreSQL or craft efficient queries for MongoDB, and push well-tested code through Git pull-requests. Expect the usual mix of green-field features, integration hooks, background jobs and the inevitable bug-hunts that come with a live product.
Our toolbox
Node.js, TypeScript, Express, NestJS
PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS/GCP
Day-to-day I’ll look for concise commits, unit and integration tests, and short but useful docs or Swagger updates so everyone stays on the same page.
Deliverables I review on every milestone:
• A clean, passing test suite covering new logic
• Updated API documentation or schema migrations when the data layer changes
• A focused pull-request description explaining the what and the why
We work fully remote, communicate in English, and keep meetings light—most collaboration happens in code reviews and Slack threads. If you’re comfortable taking a ticket from outline to deployed service and enjoy improving existing systems as much as writing new ones, let’s talk. Share a link to a recent PR or repo that shows your backend chops and testing approach.
