I am working with OMNeT++ 6.0.3 and INET 4.5 and need a clean, reproducible simulation that focuses on data aggregation in a wireless sensor network. The goal is to model the TEEN (Threshold-sensitive Energy Efficient sensor Network) protocol end-to-end, run a set of meaningful experiments, and then turn the results into a concise technical report.
Scope of work
• Build or adapt an INET-based WSN scenario that incorporates TEEN’s clustering and threshold rules for data aggregation.
• Configure node count, sensing rate, radio parameters, and traffic patterns so they highlight the protocol’s strengths.
• Run multiple simulation seeds; capture metrics such as packets aggregated, end-to-end delay, delivery ratio, and any other indicators you feel are vital for a TEEN study.
• Provide clean, well-commented .ned, .ini, and mobility files so I can rerun everything on my machine.
• Draft a short report (≈10–12 pages) describing the setup, parameter choices, results (tables/plots), and a brief discussion of findings.
Acceptance criteria
1. Project opens and runs without errors on OMNeT++ 6.0.3 + INET 4.5.
2. TEEN behaviour is observable in the trace (threshold checks, cluster head rotation, aggregation counts).
3. At least three traffic or topology variations are compared in the report.
4. All graphs are generated from the delivered simulation output, with scripts (Python/MATLAB/R) included if used.
5. Report is clear, referenced, and ready for submission.
If you have prior WSN or TEEN experience in OMNeT++, let me know—otherwise detail how you plan to achieve the above so we can get started quickly.
