We are looking for an experienced OMG company store and embroidery production specialist to audit, correct, organize, and expand several existing client merchandise/apparel stores.
This is NOT a general graphic design or data-entry project. You must have hands-on experience working with OMG company stores, Wilcom, embroidery digitizing, EMB files, and DST files. We need someone who can work independently and identify problems without needing us to explain embroidery production basics.
Website: https://www.ordermygear.com/
What You'll Be Doing
You will work through our existing OMG stores and:
- Audit all products, logos, embroidery files, and store settings
- Verify logos are correctly sized and positioned for each product and decoration area
- Make sure logos are not stretched, distorted, oversized, undersized, or incorrectly placed
- Verify logo and embroidery colors match each client's approved brand colors
- Open and review EMB files in Wilcom
- Verify existing DST files are correct and production-ready
- Correct embroidery files when needed
- Digitize or adjust logos when necessary
- Confirm stitch dimensions, thread colors, sequencing, and other embroidery specifications
- Make sure the correct EMB/DST version is associated with the appropriate products
- Add additional products to selected existing stores
- Add products that we currently hold in physical inventory
- Configure available quantities for stocked merchandise
- Set up the correct person/team to receive fulfillment notifications for stocked products
- Make sure orders are routed to the correct person responsible for shipping
- Test store and fulfillment configurations after changes are made
Dropbox Embroidery File Organization
A major part of this project is cleaning up and organizing our embroidery files.
You will create a master embroidery library within our Dropbox account so files are easy to locate and use in the future.
This will include:
- Organizing EMB and DST files by client
- Matching each production DST with its correct master EMB
- Identifying duplicates, outdated files, and incorrect versions
- Separating master/source files from production-ready files
- Creating consistent, searchable file names
- Organizing files by logo/design, placement, and size where appropriate
- Archiving outdated versions rather than mixing them with current production files
- Making sure the approved files in Dropbox correspond with what is actually being used in OMG
We want filenames that make sense without opening the file. For example:
Client_PrimaryLogo_LeftChest_3.5in.emb
Client_PrimaryLogo_LeftChest_3.5in.dst
Client_PrimaryLogo_CapFront_2.25in.dst
We do not want folders full of files named logo-final.dst, logo2.emb, new-logo-final-final.dst, etc.
Required Experience
Please only bid if you have relevant experience with the following:
- OMG company/store platform
- Wilcom EmbroideryStudio
- EMB files
- DST files
- Embroidery digitizing and editing
- Logo sizing and placement for apparel
- Thread/color matching
- Corporate apparel or company stores
- Product configuration
- Inventory/quantity management
- Fulfillment and order notification setup
- Dropbox or similar structured digital asset management
You should understand the difference between a file that simply opens and a file that is properly prepared to sew correctly on the actual garment.
When Submitting Your Bid
Please answer the following in your proposal:
1. How much experience do you have working specifically with the OMG platform?
2. What have you done inside OMG?
3. Which version of Wilcom do you use?
4. Do you personally edit and digitize EMB embroidery files?
5. How experienced are you with creating and reviewing DST production files?
6. Have you managed corporate apparel/company stores before?
7. Have you configured inventory quantities and fulfillment workflows within OMG?
8. How would you structure a master EMB/DST embroidery library for multiple clients?
9. Please provide examples of relevant embroidery, digitizing, or company-store work.
Generic proposals will not be considered. Please specifically address your OMG and Wilcom experience in your response.
We do have an account with Wilcome and Wilcom Workspace that can be used.
Project Goal
At completion, we want every store cleaned up and consistent, every product using the correct logo and embroidery specifications, stocked products properly configured for fulfillment, and a well-organized Dropbox master library.
Most importantly, every live embroidered product in OMG should be traceable back to the correct approved master EMB and production DST file in Dropbox.
There may be ongoing contract work available after the initial cleanup for the right person.
