OLD-WORLD EUROPEAN ARTWORK & ILLUSTRATION PROJECT

The project consists of approximately five (5) Old-World European-style illustrations designed to create a continuous visual storyline for a premium olive oil tin.

1. Existing Artwork & Artist's Role

The initial concepts and illustrations have already been created using AI-assisted tools. The Artist is not being retained to create the underlying concept from scratch. Rather, the Artist will professionally rework, refine, redraw, correct, enhance, and complete the existing artwork where necessary.

The Artist's responsibilities include:

- Cleaning up and professionally refining each existing illustration.
- Adding, deleting, replacing, or modifying visual elements where necessary to improve the composition and storytelling.
- Correcting inconsistencies between illustrations so that all approximately five (5) images form a cohesive visual storyline.
- Improving perspective, anatomy, lighting, landscape details, architecture, vegetation, objects, and other artistic elements where appropriate.
- Ensuring that the finished illustrations maintain a consistent Old-World European, hand-illustrated appearance suitable for a premium olive oil product.

2. Originality & Image Review

The Artist shall review the artwork and make reasonable efforts to ensure that identifiable artistic elements, characters, objects, compositions, or other imagery incorporated into the final illustrations are not improperly copied from or substantially duplicative of protected artwork being used elsewhere.

Where an element appears problematic, inconsistent, or insufficiently original, the Artist shall redraw, replace, modify, or remove it before delivery of the final artwork.

3. Resolution & Production Quality

All final artwork must be prepared at high resolution and a minimum of 300 DPI at the final printed dimensions, with sufficient pixel dimensions and image quality for professional commercial printing.

The Artist shall provide production-ready files, together with the editable working/master files used to create the final artwork.

The artwork must remain sharp and suitable for reproduction on the olive oil tin without visible pixelation, compression artifacts, or unnecessary loss of detail.

4. Intellectual Property & Ownership

The parties acknowledge that the Owner has supplied the existing concepts and AI-assisted artwork upon which the Artist's work will be based.

To the fullest extent legally permitted, all original artwork, modifications, redraws, enhancements, graphic elements, layouts, typography, and other copyrightable material independently created by the Artist specifically for this project shall be assigned to and owned exclusively by the Owner upon payment of the agreed compensation.

The Artist shall execute any additional reasonable documentation necessary to confirm the transfer of those rights.

No continuing royalty, licensing fee, usage fee, reproduction fee, or other recurring compensation shall be payable to the Artist for the Artist-created portions of the final work.

The agreed project fee shall constitute the Artist's compensation for the services performed and the assignment of the Artist's rights described above.

5. Final Artwork & Files

The Artist shall provide the Owner with all completed project materials, including, as applicable:

- Final illustrations;
- Individual image files;
- Complete tin layouts;
- Text and typography incorporated into the design;
- Print-ready production files;
- High-resolution files of at least 300 DPI at final print size;
- Editable/source files;
- Separate artwork and design elements where reasonably required for future production; and
- Final files for the front, sides, and back of the olive oil tin.

6. Tin Layout & Topography

The Artist shall research and develop an appropriate visual layout for the complete olive oil tin, taking into consideration the geographic topography, landscape, architecture, vegetation, and other regional characteristics depicted in the storyline.

The front artwork has substantially been conceptualized; however, the sides and back of the tin still need to be designed and built out so that the finished package presents one cohesive visual identity.

7. FDA Packaging Considerations

The Artist shall review the applicable FDA food-labeling requirements relevant to the physical layout of the olive oil tin and shall design the available panels to accommodate required information supplied or approved by the Owner, including areas for items such as the product identity, net quantity statement, Nutrition Facts, ingredient information, manufacturer/distributor information, lot or production information, barcode, and other required or requested labeling.

The Artist's responsibility is limited to incorporating and positioning the information supplied or approved by the Owner and creating sufficient space within the package design. The Artist is not being retained to provide legal or regulatory advice or to independently certify FDA compliance.

8. Overall Objective

The final product must transform the existing AI-assisted concepts into a professionally refined, commercially printable Old-World European illustration series that tells a continuous story across the olive oil tin while maintaining consistency in characters, scenery, atmosphere, typography, and overall artistic direction.

The completed tin should appear as a unified piece of professionally commissioned artwork—not as a collection of unrelated individual images.
