I need a complete technical design for an off-grid solar power system with batteries dedicated to running a refrigeration load. The goal is a reliable, year-round solution that can handle start-up surge and maintain temperature stability even through several cloudy days.
Scope of work
• Analyse the refrigeration unit’s power profile (running watts, surge, duty cycle) and translate that into daily kWh demand, autonomy requirements, and peak loads.
• Size the PV array, battery bank (preferably LiFePO4), inverter/charger, MPPT controllers, cabling, and protections so that the system meets those demands with at least two days of autonomy.
• Provide a single-line diagram, equipment list with model suggestions, and all necessary wiring details.
• Include efficiency, voltage-drop, and temperature-compensation calculations plus brief notes on grounding and over-current protection in line with NEC or relevant local standards.
• Deliver editable files (PDF plus native format—AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and a concise design report explaining assumptions and calculations.
Acceptance criteria
1. Array, battery, and inverter capacities are justified by load and climate data.
2. Documents are clear enough for a licensed electrician to build the system without further clarification.
3. All components are commercially available in my region or have equivalent substitutes listed.
If you are experienced in PV sizing, battery chemistry selection, and off-grid design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or Homer, I’d love to review a quick outline of your proposed approach and timeline.
