We are looking for an experienced Odoo developer to build Phase 1 of a specialized automotive website for an American-vehicle business in Saudi Arabia.
The business specializes in Ford, General Motors and Mopar vehicles.
This phase is focused on the customer-facing website, vehicle selection, services and appointment booking.
This is NOT the full workshop ERP development yet.
The workshop management system, technician workflow, repair orders, vehicle tracking, inspections, parts workflow and other advanced ERP functions will be developed later as Phase 2.
Phase 1 Requirements
* Odoo Website with a premium, modern automotive design.
* Arabic and English support, including proper Arabic RTL.
* Customer login/registration using phone number and/or email.
* Vehicle selector:
* Make → Model → Year → Engine/Trim.
* Guest visitor can select one vehicle.
* Registered customer gets a “My Garage” section.
* My Garage can contain up to 3 vehicles.
* Vehicle-change restrictions must be configurable.
* Selected vehicle remains visible while browsing the website.
* Services displayed according to the selected vehicle.
* Each service must support:
* Price.
* Estimated installation/service time.
* Photos.
* Main video.
* Description.
* Warranty information.
* FAQ.
* Configurable tags/badges such as:
* Genuine/OEM.
* Special Offer.
* Package.
* 1-Year Warranty.
* Exclusive.
* Lowest Price.
* Custom branded badges.
* Social-media video links:
* YouTube.
* TikTok.
* Instagram.
* Other platforms.
* If the video is unavailable on a platform, its button should appear disabled/grey.
* “Book Installation Appointment” instead of a normal eCommerce Buy button for services.
* Current location: Riyadh, Al-Shifa.
* Exact map location/link is shown after booking confirmation.
* Before booking confirmation, customer is asked whether they still have questions.
* If yes: direct them to contact/support before confirming.
* If no: continue to appointment selection.
* Appointment availability:
* Only the next 72 hours should initially be bookable.
* Working days/hours must be configurable from the admin panel.
* 72-hour booking limit must also be configurable.
* Customer pays a 100 SAR booking deposit.
* Deposit is deducted from the final service price.
* Deposit amount must be configurable.
* Online payment integration suitable for Saudi Arabia.
* Confirmation page after successful payment.
* Automatic booking confirmation by email and preferably WhatsApp.
* Customer account should store basic customer and vehicle information inside Odoo.
* Blog/technical-content section with good SEO structure.
* Forum/community capability.
* Forum account should be connected to the customer account, but the customer can choose a public display name.
* Lead-generation popup after approximately 2 minutes of browsing:
* Offer 5% discount on the first eligible non-discounted service.
* Collect customer contact information and vehicle information.
* Purpose is to notify the customer when new services become available for their vehicle.
* Cars, services, prices, service times, badges, videos, FAQs and booking settings must all be editable from the Odoo admin panel.
* Vehicle and service data must NOT be hard-coded.
* Website should be mobile-friendly and work properly on iPhone, Android, tablet and desktop.
Important
We have not purchased the final Odoo subscription/hosting configuration yet.
The selected developer should advise us whether this Phase 1 should use:
* Odoo Online,
* Odoo.sh,
* or self-hosted Odoo,
based on the required custom development.
We expect to use Odoo Custom/Enterprise if custom modules are required.
The developer must use standard Odoo functionality whenever possible and only create custom modules where necessary.
Clean architecture is important because Phase 2 will later add a complete automotive workshop management system and future mobile-app/API integrations.
Developer Requirements
Strong experience with Odoo Website, Python/Odoo development, custom modules, Portal, eCommerce/payments, JavaScript, Git/GitHub and responsive RTL design.
Arabic-speaking developers are strongly preferred. Experience with Saudi Arabia projects is a plus.
