Object Removal & Background Lightening

I have one high-resolution photo that needs precise retouching. A distracting object has to disappear completely, and the space it occupied should be rebuilt by extending the surrounding wall or surface so the repair is invisible. After that, I’d like the entire background to look clean, evenly lit, and noticeably brighter—think bright and tidy rather than harshly over-exposed.

Please work nondestructively (Photoshop layer structure or an editable equivalent) so small tweaks remain possible on my end. Final deliverable: the edited image in the original resolution, plus a layered PSD or TIFF.
