"O Goddess of Justice, Will You Open Your Eyes? "

O Goddess of Justice, Will You Open Your Eyes?

O Goddess of Justice…

Why
are your eyes blindfolded?

Can you not see
the suffering
we endure
through your own eyes?

Or…

Is it because
if you were to see the truth,
you would be forced
to deliver justice,
and that is why
they have
blindfolded your eyes?

Let your eyes
remain blindfolded…

But at least,
let the scales of justice
in your hands
remain steady
without trembling…

Because…

A rich man's
single lie
finds a thousand witnesses…

But a poor man's
single truth
cannot find even
one witness…

That is why we ask…

Where is justice
for the tears
of a poor man
who speaks the truth?

Who will protect
the people of this land
from political demons
who nurture lies
under the shadow of power?

As a poor man stands
at the courthouse gates,
searching for justice,
does your scale
even measure
the wounds
on his feet?

Every drop
of his tears
contains a case…

Every moment
of his silence
holds a verdict
waiting to be delivered…

And yet…

You stand there,
with your eyes closed…

**We are not angry
because your eyes
are blindfolded…

We weep
because we see
a world
where even after witnessing
the truth,
justice cannot be delivered…**

O Goddess of Justice…

Who will untie
the ropes
that bind you?

Power?

Money?

Politics?

Or…

One ordinary human being
who, one day,
raises their voice
against injustice?

Let that day come…

On that day,
may your eyes
be unbound…

May your scales
rise upright…

May your sword
emerge from its sheath
for the sake
of truth…

On that day…

May the tears
of the poor
become the witnesses…

May truth
become the verdict…

And may justice
become the victory!

Until then…

O Goddess of Justice…

As we look at
the ropes that bind you,
we ask
just one question…

“Who will set you free?”
