NYC Wealth Analysis Internship

I’m bringing an intern onto our New York–based wealth management team to deepen our financial analysis and reporting capacity. Your core mission will be to own the financial modelling workflow that underpins our client portfolios. Day-to-day you’ll refine existing Excel models, expand them to cover new asset classes, stress-test assumptions, and translate results into concise commentary for quarterly reports and client meetings.

Because the role centers on financial analysis and reporting, I expect strong fluency with Excel’s advanced functions, Power Query, and charting; VBA is a plus but not mandatory. You’ll collaborate closely with our portfolio managers, so clear communication and an eye for detail matter as much as technical skill. Prior experience—or at least coursework—in valuation techniques, cash-flow modelling, and performance attribution will let you ramp up quickly.

Deliverables I will review weekly:
• A continually updated Excel model with version control notes
• A short memo summarizing key insights and flagged risks from the model
• Clean data imports that reconcile to custodial statements within a 0.5% variance
