Number Plate Lookup Integration with RSForm! Pro on Joomla 6.1

Develop an integration between a site running on Joomla 6 + RSForm! Pro, and the Targa.co.it vehicle registration API.

I need RSForm! Pro on my Joomla 6.1 site to pull vehicle information automatically after a user enters a number plate

IMPORTANT: It is important that the form remains manageable after the customization, allowing to easily add or remove fields of any type like a normal rsform pro

The purpose is to allow an seller to enter their vehicle registration plate and automatically retrieve the available vehicle information from Targa.co.it.

The retrieved information must then automatically populate corresponding fields in an RSForm! Pro vehicle submission form.

Desired user experience

Seller enters:

registration plate: AB123CD

Then clicks:

CHECK VEHICLE

The system contacts Targa.co.it and retrieves the vehicle information.

The form should automatically populate:

Make
Model
Version
Registration year
Engine size
Fuel type
Number of doors
Power CV
Power KW
Fiscal power
Vehicle description

after the population, the user needs to be able to fill other fields so we need to be able to add or remove fields of any type like a normal rsform pro after the population

The seller can then continue completing the auction submission form with other fields we will add.

2. Existing Environment

The integration will be developed for:

Joomla 6.x
RSForm! Pro

The implementation must be compatible with Joomla 6 and must not modify RSForm! Pro core files.

The current API documentation specifies the vehicle endpoint and confirms that it returns vehicle information including make/model, registration year, engine size, fuel type, doors, version and power.

The Check operation accepts:

RegistrationNumber
username

and supports SOAP 1.1, SOAP 1.2, HTTP GET and HTTP POST.
