I have a complete novel locked inside a PDF and I need it brought into an editable Word document without losing the feel of the original book. Every chapter break, scene separator, italic thought, and dialogue dash should look as natural in Word as it does in the PDF. Page numbers can disappear, but headers or footers that carry chapter titles must stay.

If the file contains illustrations, sketches, or ornamental chapter openers, please pull them across and anchor them exactly where they belong in the flow of the text. Where an image is purely decorative and doesn’t translate well, flag it so I can decide whether to keep or drop it.

I am fine with you using any reliable OCR or PDF-to-Word tool—Adobe Acrobat, ABBYY FineReader, Nitro, or a combination—as long as you follow up with manual proofreading to catch broken words, odd hyphenation, and paragraph splits. Spelling, punctuation, and storyline order must emerge intact.

Deliverable: a clean .docx file ready for final author review, formatted with standard Word styles (Heading 1 for chapter titles, Normal for body text, etc.) so I can tweak global settings later without manual overrides. Let me know your estimated turnaround time and any checkpoints you recommend so we can keep things smooth.
