I run a small, fast-growing flatbed fleet that hauls machinery exclusively throughout the Northeast corridor. To keep our drivers rolling and customers happy, I need a senior-level dispatcher who already knows the region’s highways, weight restrictions, bridge laws, and permit quirks inside out.
Your mission is simple: own every load from first phone call to empty trailer. You will secure machinery freight, plan the most efficient routes, monitor driver hours, and resolve hiccups before they reach my desk. I will plug you into our TMS and give you direct access to drivers, shippers, and receivers so you can work without bottlenecks.
Deliverables
• Daily load plan and route sheets issued by 18:00 ET the night before
• Real-time updates in the TMS with arrival, loaded, and empty timestamps
• Weekly KPI recap (on-time %, detention hours, and empty miles) sent every Friday
Acceptance Criteria
1. At least 97 % on-time delivery each week
2. Empty miles kept below 12 % of total mileage
3. All DOT and state oversize/overweight permits filed correctly before dispatch
If you already speak the language of rate cons, BOLs, ELD hours, and tri-axle weight limits, you’ll fit right in. Let’s move some iron.
