Node.js, C++, PostgreSQL Web App

I am building a web application in Node.js and would like solid support setting up the core stack. The immediate focus is getting user authentication running smoothly, then locking-in a well-structured PostgreSQL schema that anticipates future growth.

The Node.js side will serve the front-end, handle session logic, and expose clean REST endpoints; Express or another lightweight framework is fine as long as it stays readable and testable. For authentication, I want email / password flows with hashed storage and token-based sessions (JWT or similar) plus the groundwork for social login later.

On the database side, I need help designing tables, relationships, indexes, and migrations so the schema lines up perfectly with the auth logic and any near-term features. Best practices for referential integrity and performance are a must.

A small portion of the app relies on performance-critical routines already written in modern C++. They compile cleanly; what I need is the bridge—either a Node-API addon or a fast IPC strategy—so those routines can be called from the JavaScript layer without blocking the event loop. Guidance on build tooling and cross-platform considerations will be appreciated.

2. Fully implemented user authentication flow with secure storage and token refresh logic
3. PostgreSQL schema (DDL files) and migration scripts, ready to run via psql or a migration tool

I will test the deliverables by spinning up the project locally, registering a user, verifying tokens, inspecting the generated tables, and exercising the bridged C++ calls without noticeable latency. If everything runs cleanly and the codebase remains easy to read, the job is complete.
