The National Institute of Design entrance is in December and I need focused guidance to sharpen my Design Aptitude and Creative Thinking for both the prelims and mains. I already work through past DAT papers, but I struggle to break away from predictable ideas and to articulate concepts quickly under time pressure.
Alongside that, I want to strengthen my perspective skills—specifically drawing complete scenes from a written prompt so the composition, depth and storytelling feel natural. Rooms, streets, objects and people must sit convincingly in space, yet I often lose proportion and viewpoint when I rush.
Here’s what I’m hoping for:
• Weekly online sessions that alternate between idea-generation drills, rapid concept sketching and critique.
• Targeted exercises that push lateral thinking, problem framing and visual storytelling, with timed practice to match the exam format.
• Scene-drawing homework based on written briefs; you review the scans, mark perspective errors and suggest quicker construction methods.
• At least two full mock tests with feedback on solution originality, presentation clarity and time management.
If you’re familiar with NID’s evaluation style and can mix creative-thinking workouts with solid perspective coaching, I’d love to schedule a trial class and set a study plan straight away.
