I am preparing a U.S. medical-malpractice action that turns on alleged nerve damage, and I need a board-certified, actively practicing neurologist to serve as my expert witness. Your role will begin with a full review of the medical record, imaging studies, and operative notes, followed by the preparation of a written opinion that speaks directly to breach of the standard of care and causation.
Once the report is finalized, I will rely on you for deposition preparation and, if the matter proceeds that far, live testimony at trial. Prior courtroom or deposition experience is strongly preferred because persuasive, well-structured explanations will be critical to the case.
You must hold an unrestricted U.S. or international medical license in neurology and remain in current clinical practice so your opinions withstand Daubert challenges. When you reply, please confirm:
• State(s) of licensure and expiration dates
• Current clinical position and percentage of time spent treating patients
• Prior expert-witness engagements, if any, including stroke, epilepsy, or other nerve-injury matters
• Your availability over the next six months for record review, deposition, and trial dates
All records are already digitized and can be provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal. I will cover reasonable hourly rates for review, report drafting, deposition, and courtroom appearance, with travel arranged in advance.
If you meet these requirements and can articulate complex neurological concepts clearly to a judge and jury, I look forward to working with you.
